3-D Printed Ship Kit Details

All SJS 3D Printed Ship Kits Include:

• 3DP Hull sections

• 3DP Superstructure Sections + Turrets + Barbettes (NOTE: End user will need to supply wooden dowel, aluminum tube, etc of their choice, to complete some superstructure elements. These elements can include: Dummy gun barrels, tripod masts, cargo cranes, etc.)

• 3DP Hardware items including but not limited to, depending on specific ship model: 

  • • Rudder(s)

    • 3d Printed Propeller(s) 

    • Some generic sized electronics epoxy potting trays

    • Rudder + Servo gears or sprockets (Designed for #25 ANSI chain, available at www.servocity.com in snap-together plastic)

    • Aluminum Motor mounting plates (Available for multiple motor types, please contact us if you want anything other than 550 can (25mm) bolt spacing)

    • For specifics for your kit, please contact us.

• 1/8" laser cut wooden deck hatches

• Assembled propeller shafts (Stuffing tubes, Bushings, and inner shaft assembled with propellers)

• Material for rudder shafts/tubes

• n52 neodymium magnets for deck hold downs

• All of the heat set inserts for the hull/rudder mount/etc pre-set in the hull

• M4 stainless nuts + bolts to assemble the hull sections

• 4-40 stainless button head machine screws for gearbox motor mount plates, rudder mounting, etc​

At this point, all you should need to complete a kit would be:

• Waterproof adhesive for gluing the hull sections together

• Waterproofing for the wooden decks (lacquer? epoxy? up to you)

• Superglue/E6000/Shoe Goo "Goop"

• Internal armor material (shower pan liner? fiberglass reinforced dogproof screening?)

• And then all the accoutrements for a typical battling model. Pneumatics, electronics, etc.​

• SJS recommends Traxxas 32p steel gears for our models that are equipped with gearboxes. Use the following part #'s to order:
